Meet The Pastor
The Pastor is available
to meet you
in the church Narthex
Please note that our Preschool Program is filled by volunteers. Currently, we are looking for a few more people to help with this wonderful program. If you can donate a week or two over the next couple of months, please contact Catie Gardy and offer your services. How wonderful it is to have people offer to help, rather than to have to ask!!! Thank you!
The Nursery at Downingtown United Methodist Church is a room filled with fun and excitement while parents have the opportunity to enjoy the weekly service. Children are welcome to come to the nursery before the service begins or the parents may wait until all children are dismissed for Sunday school. The kids are able to interact with other children and explore the different toys and activities that are available in the classroom. Nicole Dougherty, the classroom teacher, also tries, at times, to make some arts and crafts throughout the year. The atmosphere is more relaxed, however, giving the children the chance to experience other children and environments. The Nursery is a great way to begin your child's Sunday school experience.

The Preschool Sunday School Classroom at Downingtown United Methodist Church is the where children ages three to five begin using a weekly curriculum. Each week includes a bible story, bible verse, and related activities which include songs, fingerplays, and crafts. The children experience a rewarding time getting to know each other and learning about the stories of the Bible during Sunday worship time. Children should arrive to the classroom prior to service and parents should pick up their child in the classroom at the conclusion of service. The Preschool classroom is the next step in our Sunday School experience.
